"Who am I ?"
Dec 31, 2023Baba Hariharananda blessings
The first time I was blessed to get a glimpse of what type of Master, Baba Hariharananda Giri was, was shortly after I had received Kriya Yoga initiation from him in New York City in 1981.
At the end of one of the Kriya Yoga meditation class, in Chuck’s Gallery in Soho, many disciples were going up to him and bowing at his feet and receiving his blessing.
Even one person was saying to Baba how he had a dream with Mahavatar Babaji.
I am thinking, who am I to touch Baba’s holy feet, these people are so advanced, they are having visions of Babaji?
I wasn’t even sure he knew that I was even in the room with him.
I walked outside and sat down on the front steps off to the side of the front entrance, totally dejected and wondering what I am doing
here.

Baba walks out of the meditation hall, surrounded by the disciples with folded hands and gets into Felix's car on the passenger seat.
He is smiling with folded hands, bowing to everyone surrounding him.
The car pulls away with the disciples in the street, still bowing to him with folded hands.
Meanwhile, I’m sitting on the side steps watching this, still feeling quite dejected as the group of disciples goes back into the meditation hall, leaving me alone in my down state of mind.

All of a sudden, Felix’s car comes back down the street in reverse, stopping right in front of me, and there is Baba, bowing to me with folded hands, a big smile on his face, acknowledging my presence and blessing me, before zooming off down the street.
He had a favorite saying "I will never forget you, you may forget me, but I will never forget you”
In the 20 years of following Baba, I had witness this many times as disciples would come and go, yet Baba always embraced them with his holy love, no matter how many times they had left and returned.
