"The technique will make you free"

One of the greatest lessons I experienced from following Paramahamsa "Baba" Hariharananda and practicing Kriya Yoga, is that I am a part of something so marvelous and infinite, that it transcends my limited "New Yorker and "ethno-centric" self identity.

Baba was "world-centric" and he was infinitely curious about "the marvelous power of god" that he perceived in every person. He was broad-minded and taught all who sincerely approached him and this included: young, old, monk, householder, single, married, rich, poor, male, female, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Buddhist, Shinto, Zoroastrian, Atheist etc. from so many countries around the globe.

He never asked anyone to follow him blindly and he taught it is every persons birthright to become "Self-realized" and it is "why we are born".

Every opportunity to talk about Kriya Yoga, the lineage of Kriya Yoga Masters, his four Gurus and God gave him tremendous joy. Baba loved sharing his deep love, wisdom, and experience with all.

He loved every opportunity, no matter how tired or jet-lagged he may have been, to help sincere seekers.

He sincerely tried his utmost to help his disciples and traveled thru out the world, staying close to his disciples, until the doctors forced him to stop traveling.

Baba firmly believed in the "Kriya Yoga techniques" and truly loved practicing and teaching them. 

He encouraged all to "practice the Kriya Yoga techniques daily, regularly, sincerely and lovingly".

He would fondly say; "You brush your teeth every day, so you must practice kriya yoga every day".

One of the last instructions he gave me personally was:

"The Helicopter is remaining in the sky above by the technique. 

So you must remain above, by the practice of the kriya yoga technique. 

The techniques will make you free."
