"How did Hariharananda become Hariharananda?"

One night after meditation class in Virginia's apartment basement in Hell's Kitchen, New York City, Baba said to me privately:

"How did Hariharananda become Hariharananda?"

"I went inside, meditated very deeply and got that experience which changed my life."

"Don Baba you should meditate very deeply and get that experience and change your life."

Kriya Yoga is the synthesis of three yoga's: Karma, Jnana and Bhakti.

By practicing the Kriya Yoga techniques, (sacred action = Karma Yoga), we can get direct experience of the source of creation, (true knowledge and wisdom = Jnana Yoga) and having this experience of true knowledge gives joy - bliss (love = Bhakti Yoga). 

"Sat - Chit - Ananda" (truth - consciousness -bliss) = Samadhi (peace) 

Baba was always quick to emphasize that there must be Bhakti (love & joy) in every step , "before, after and while performing action".

'We are conceived in Joy, we are raised in Joy and our whole life should be lived in Joy."
